Abstract

Study of cultural values and political life of the community in Riau Malay, which is believed to beable to support the application of the principles of democracy at the local level. This is consideredimportant because of the values and culture that lives and grows a reflection of power relationsbetween individuals, groups, social institutions, and governments in the region that has lasted along time.Political system and democratic governance requires the participation of all citizens in thepolitical process is important. On this basis, the research interest in restoring the values andculture of the Malay community, which will be explored from theoretical perspectives - normativeand empirical, both in the kingdom, independence, and decentralization (regional autonomy)today, in order to understand the knowledge local power relations and their implications for thedemocratic process that relies on the framework and capabilities fikir society itself.In this research, emphasis will be devoted to the use of qualitative methods. The data analysistechnique used the descriptive analysis. As a non-statistical analysis techniques, in addition topresenting information and facts for what it is, a description and interpretation of the data, tables,graphs, or figures are available is also a typical sharpness of this method of analysis. Analysis willalso be preceded by exposition and explanation of empirical facts (deductive) that relate directlyto this study. In addition, empirical facts will also conceptualized with the theory which is thentested in a rational (inductive).

Abstract

The research problem in this study was initiated with the interim decision of the Constitutional Court No. 63/PHPU.D-IX/2011 which basically instruct the Regional Election Commission ( ElectionCommission ) to implement the Pekanbaru City Ballot Re ( PSU ) in all regions of the city of Pekanbaru . Therefore, this study sought to describe the impact of the issuance of the policy is for interested parties . This study used a qualitative approach to the sources of information and data obtained from in-depth interviews of infroman research and study documentation . This study obtain the result that the Constitutional Court policies impact not only to the policy target group RegionalElection Commission of Pekanbaru , but also impacts outside the target groups such as the mutation of the Civil Service in the local government area in Pekanbaru . Then the impact of other policies are costs to be borne either by the government or indirectly by the public costs of delays Voting Re-Election of Regional Head and Deputy Head of Pekanbaru .

Abstract

This study describes the border management policy conducted by the central government, province of East Kalimantan and Nunukan. Policies such as the establishment of regulatory, institutional strengthening, programs and infrastructure development. The policy is getting good response from the elite and the masses. On the other hand policy makers have expectations of local communities border synergism Sebatik Island in order to build and develop the border areas so as to break the chain of dependence on Malaysia. The research was conducted in Sebatik Island, East Kalimantan province Nunukan with the formulation of the problem (a) what policies are oriented to maintain borders, (b) How is the public response to government policy, (c) What are your expectations of policy makers in local communities to regional border. This study used qualitative methods to phenomenological research strategy. Techniques of data collection in this study using two ways, namely in-depth interviews and secondary data view Results indicate that the existing policy of both the central and provincial to district borders do not solve the problem because it is made on the island of Sebatik with other border regions. The policy does not include local knowledge, where it is desperately needed by the people Sebatik. In addition to policies on programs and infrastructure development of the center, the district adopted a policy of inaction against the illegal cross-border trade, which on the one hand against the rules but if enforced then people can not perform economic activities that impact well-being. Policies like this gets a positive response from the public. Expectations for the future border policy is to load local content or local knowledge.

Abstract

Political communication is important and feels more important when we listen to and browse the functions of political communication itself, especially when political communication and political diplomacy based on local wisdom . Political communication is done to promote the political desires of Regents candidates Singingi Kuantan , poor judgment in taking the values of local wisdom which contains many morals, truth values, family values and religious values can not be blocked causing conflicts terjaddi The Regency Kuantan Singingi Election in 2011. One example of local wisdom kuantan singing the " Batobo " which contains the value of cooperation, harmony, harmony and familial characteristics ( mutual aid ). Still feels less and less done well to be used and exploited in political campaign strategy in the General Election in Kuantan district Singingi.

Abstract

The participation of candidates in local elections the democratic party is the dominant of the vote to win the political competition. Various attempts were made to improve the participants' tendency to choose politics. Implementation of the election for governor and vice governor of Riau Province in 2013 can not be separated from political activities such as marketing activities undertaken by all partner candidates for governor and vice governor of Riau Province. This study refers to the mapping ( mapping ) use outdoor media conducted by the regional head candidates in the election of governor and vice governor of Riau Province in 2013, especially in the city of Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative research approach ( qualitative research ). The data will be used consists of two types of data, namely, the primary data, the data is obtained directly from respondents and observations that have been conducted and secondary data, ie data obtained from documents related to the study. Based on the results of the study concluded that the outdoor media used by candidates and prospective candidates of governor and vice governor of Riau Province in 2013 was in the form of billboards, billboards, banners and banner. The outdoor media widely installed in strategic areas in the city of Pekanbaru as junction region, area shopping centers, bridge district, area attractions, and hospitality areas.

Abstract

PKS has requirements that must be observed by candidates for mayor/deputy mayor to be carried include: having the support of political parties, the mass base of support and success program. Because the non-fulfillment of the quota of 15 seats in parliament, PKS makes the initial coalition with Paradise as individu. Selanjutnya, the coalition continued with the coalition parties combined. There are six parties joined-Versecarries Firdaus Cahyadi are: PKS, Hanura, UN, PDK, the Democratic Party and the PDI-P.
